2022 ATARC FEDERAL CLOUD & INFRASTRUCTURE SUMMIT

Josh Frederick, Z FEDERAL’s Director of Corporate Growth and Development, attended and met with several customers and partners for this all-day summit comprised of various technology and panel discussions. The conference focused holistically on cloud infrastructure; addressing topics such as benefits of utilizing the cloud, challenges associated with migrating to the cloud and the importance of adopting to a cloud-driven culture. Panelists focused on topics ranging from “Cloud Modernization and Migration within the Federal Government” to “Getting One Step Ahead: Data Breaches and the Cloud” as well as “Hybrid Cloud and Security Risks” and “Over a Decade of Work: Cloud Implementation and the Future of Modernization.” Panelists were primarily technology leaders from various government agencies such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Agriculture, General Services Administration, Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Department of State, U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission as well as the U.S. Department of the Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps. A key takeaway from the conference is although there are challenges migrating to the cloud such as training and resource allocation, cloud utilization is here to stay featuring advantages like data security, accessibility to information, and eliminating infrastructure complexity.
